Savings and Investment Accounts

Because Alaska USA members are actually owners of the credit union, deposit accounts are called share accounts, and the earnings on share accounts are called dividends.

Alaska USA Federal Credit Union offers four types of savings plans, each with specific advantages.

  • Savings Accounts are stable way to save that gives immediate access to your money.
  • Money Market Accounts provide easy access and pay dividends based on market conditions.
  • Certificate Accounts offer higher rates of return for specified periods of investment.
  • Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) allow you to save for the future with a variety of tax advantages.
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) help you save for qualified medical expenses in a tax-advantaged manner.

All your Alaska USA share savings and investment accounts are federally insured and provide high earnings, convenient access and the confidence of knowing your funds are safe and secure.

If you are looking for additional investment options, a wide range of investment options* are available through Alaska USA Trust Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alaska USA Federal Credit Union.

* Investments through Alaska USA Trust Company are not covered by deposit insurance.
